Carol McLaren is CEO of RSABI, the charity which supports people in Scottish agriculture. She grew up on a family farm in Perthshire and after completing a Land Economy degree at Aberdeen University spent time working driving chaser bins in Australia and on sheep and cattle stations in New Zealand. After working as an agricultural journalist for publications including Farming News and Farmers Weekly, Carol worked in the Scotch Whisky industry as PR Manager for The Famous Grouse and The Macallan before moving to Diageo to work as PR Manager. She then spent a decade with Quality Meat Scotland, latterly as Director of Marketing and Communications, and has been in the CEO role at RSABI for three years.
